The land and sea has long been a source of inspiration to me. The poetic sense of rhythm the breakers have as they roll across the open ocean. The revelation of line and shape just after a snowfall. For me, the beauty and their abstraction lay underneath the surface, like the movements within a sonata, whereby the images weren't seen but rather heard. One can visually listen to each of the four separate movements, from the allegro to adagio, the minuet returning to the allegro.
